Gavin Plastering

Gavin Hill, a professional plasterer in Warwick, approached me because he had wanted a website for a long time to help advertise his services. The local market for builders was quite competitive but very few independent builders had websites so his new website was a key way of gaining a competitive advantage in the market.

We started this project by sitting down and discussing Gavin's business, his customers, and his competitors. We got a feel for what content his site should contain and what tone it should use. We also looked through competitor websites and talked about websites with good design so I could get a feel for what Gavin liked.

In addition to marketing the new website online, we felt that word-of-mouth would continue to be an important part of Gavin's marketing efforts so I designed a new business card and incorporated the new card into his website so people directed to the site from his card would definitely know they'd found the right place.
